Sarah was born and raised in London with family roots in Sudan. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University of the Arts in Qatar with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2019, and is currently doing a design residency at Fabrica Research Centre in Italy.
Sarah’s hybrid family history, as well as her experience with travel, has caused the research point for a lot of her work to be inspired by her own curiosities about life, culture and her surroundings.
Sarah’s work has been featured in: AIGA Eye On Design, Italian Magazine ‘Artribune’ and Vogue Italia. She has also had work exhibited at the Tasmeem Doha Design event in Qatar 2019, Fabrica Versus Corona online exhibition 2020, and has participated in multiple art book fairs around the world as a collaborator for the experimental publishing project Water With Water from 2016 till present. Sarah has also worked on collaborative projects that have been exhibited at the Wieden + Kennedy Gallery in Tokyo, the Doha Firestation in Qatar, and most recently at the New Radicalism Festival in Rotterdam as part of the New Voices from the MENA reading room. She also has multiple collaborative art publications that are a part of the artist book collection at the Thomas J. Watson Library in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the British National Library in London and the Asia Art Archive in Brooklyn.
