Santiago Pani is an artist from Mexico living and working in the Netherlands. His work has been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Mexico, the United States, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands. He has also participated in art fairs in Mexico City, Madrid, New York, and Milan. Santiago is the director of the artist residency Arthouse Holland & Arthouse Pani in Mexico.
His recent portrait series, Personal Universe, is inspired by memories of the unknown people we encounter in our lives. These individuals' images are subconsciously stored in our minds and can resurface during wakefulness or in our dreams, influencing our lives. Santiago emphasizes that these concepts have become increasingly important in his daily life, and as a result, creating these pieces has become a very visceral and organic process for him.
