Self-taught visual artist, Régine de Forges de Parny, born in Paris in 1950, has always lived and worked in Paris; his mediums are drawing, painting, sculpture, photography. 1980 and 2008: she creates unique and sculptural ornaments by assembling different materials (1980 - 1982 for the fashion designers Paco Rabanne and Ungaro, and an ornament-sculpture "Parure pour Van Gogh" in 1988, for the Yolande Clergue Collection in Arles, FONDATION VAN GOGH. In 2008 she made wall sculptures and small installations; after taking courses at the Beaux Arts in Paris, in 2014 she began to paint in acrylic (mixed technique) and exhibited her work. Throughout her artistic development she practiced photography in parallel with her activities as a visual artist, first of all to photograph her family and her creations (film). The digital opens up new perspectives, photography becomes for her a source of creativity in its own right, in connection with the themes of her plastic creations: poetic daydreams, traces and memories, strangeness of reality, shadows and lights, tales of childhood. and nature. She diverts and transforms her images, digitally, but also uses them as media for graphic creations by manual retouching on photo paper or on Polaroids. The photographs are also a source of inspiration, "sketchbooks" for his pictorial achievements.
