Stuart Ward is a visual and installation artist who creates technology-driven works which usually involve light and motion. After honing his skills in Tokyo during the heyday of its live video performance art scene, he returned to Canada to continue his life’s work. Initially trained in the Fine Arts at the University of Calgary, with a focus on painting, Ward made the transition to digital Art in 2000. With a strong base in aesthetics, art theory, art history and design principles, Stuart creates work which breaks down barriers to art and represents the possibilities of 'the other' through colour and form.
