Ben is entirely self taught when it comes to digital art, having begun to play around with software over ten years ago. He originally experimented in a very hit or miss fashion as he slowly developed the potentials of the medium and moved with the increasing complexity of platforms available. He is not simply interested in creating facsimiles of what he would produce with physical media, he is always trying to find new ways of 'making marks on paper'. Ben likes getting lost in art and finds there is a certain meditational quality that can be achieved after a few hours work and he believes that place is as important as the finished work itself.
