I was playing in a hard rock band as a teenager, hanging out with the local punks and metalhead. No way I could have admit to love the Cure. But it happened that my love for goth and new wave was strong enough so I could assume both guilty pleasure. I had my first vinyl signed by Robert in the late 80s. And I shot him every time I could, with the same adoration.
