Sasha has been drawing and painting ever since she can remember. Her architectural education gave her the ability to push her traditional skills much further, into the realm of video, moving image and animation. Her latest collection is a series of video art, created from her father's digital abstract paintings. Sasha's father, Ivan Shalmin is a well known architect, artist and designer. He has exhibited his work all over the world, in both group and solo exhibitions. In 2020, Sasha had started to animate his digital abstract paintings, turning them into video art. These collaborative works were shown at the Saatchi Gallery in London and in also in Amsterdam. Their creative collaboration is trippy, abstract, playful, colourful and very emotionally charged.
