Moving Sculptures

The collection Moving Sculptures is inspired by the concept of capturing a sculpture for just a split second before letting it fade. Scheele set out to explore the possibility of creating digital sculptures formed entirely through movement and choreography.

This collection features four distinct works, each crafted with a unique material and intention. Scheele experimented with shapes, colors, and the interplay of softness and hardness, both in movement and in the materials’ feel, resulting in four truly unique digital sculptures.

Typically, Scheele’s creative process is highly structured, beginning with an idea followed by extensive research and trials before finalizing a collection. For Moving Sculptures, however, the approach was deliberately more fluid and spontaneous. The process began with an idea, but instead of extensive preparation, the artist immediately started creating. Each work informed the next, allowing discoveries made during the creation of one piece to shape the subsequent one.

Through these four works, you can experience the evolution of the Scheele's thought process and the transformation that occurred between each piece. Scheele hopes these sculptures evoke a sense of peace, as they did during their creation.
