Exclusive to Sedition, Tetrachromia Part I is the first three of a series of ten works by UK art studio Universal Everything.

The Tetrachromia collection represents the expanded range of colours that exist beyond human perception. This series of hyperreal digital artworks features highly vibrant and exotic plants that move to reveal surprising chromatic changes.

Inspired by birds’ ability to perceive colours across a wider wavelength, the work prompts us to look beyond the familiar, and to recognise our limitations. Plants that appear green to the human eye are, for birds, imbued with vibrant patterns. This survival mechanism enables them to distinguish between edible and poisonous plants – an advantage that exceeds human capability.
