Subject Matter is an online art gallery which represents and promotes 16 exceptional photographic artists. Founded 7 years ago in Tokyo, now based in London and Kuala Lumpur, their clients include first time art-buyers, avid collectors and museums in over 20 countries.
In addition to running Subject Matter, Liezel and Kitty have been involved in a number of other art projects - including The Subject Matter Prize, a competition open to young female artists from Johannesburg schools, and an ongoing collaboration with the Royal College of Art in London. Recent exhibitions have included "Homecoming" in Kuala Lumpur, which united a selection of Subject Matter artists with emerging Malaysian artists, and "We See You, We Here You", a all-female exhibition in London at The Hospital Club in October 2018.
