Elusive Dreams is the introductory collection of Grégoire Pont, that is made up of four moving artworks. The series presents a unique selection from Pont's digital practice, which he defines as 'moving paintings'. Pont's moving compositions feature night scenes with a quality of dim night light, creating mysterious atmospheres. His dreamlike landscapes echoes back to paintings of Impressionists and Post-Impressionists who depicted night-time scenes with multitude of emotional and aesthetic insights.

"I sincerely believe that in each of us lies a dreamed world, a world hidden deep inside of delicious darkness, a fantastic universe in which we escape at night, which is familiar and strange to us at the same time. A place that attracts us and has been dormant since childhood. An invisible world and difficult to describe with words. A world that we sometimes remember when a sun ray lights the corner of a wall, when a tree dances in the summer wind, a perfume floats in the air on a beach. A fleeting glimpse out of the corner of the eye. It is this world that I am seeking. This is what I want to express with my oniric images of dreamlike landscapes. I like that my images are in constant motion, like an elusive impression, the feeling of a dream that has touched us but that we can never touch." - Grégoire Pont

"Je crois qu'il y a en chacun de nous un monde rêvé, un monde enfoui en nous de ténèbres délicieuses, un univers fantastique dans lequel on s'évade souvent la nuit, qui nous est familier et étranger en même temps. Un ailleurs qui nous attire et qui sommeille en nous depuis l'enfance. Un monde invisible et difficile de décrire avec des mots. Un monde dont on se rappelle parfois au détour d'une lumière qui éclaire un coin de mur, un arbre qui danse dans le vent d'été, un parfum qui traverse une plage. C'est ce monde que je cherche. Cette impression fugitive que je veux retrouver dans mes imageries oniriques de paysages rêvés. J'aime que mes paysages soient en constant mouvement, comme une impression insaisissable, le sentiment d'un rêve qui nous a touché mais qu'on arrive plus à caresser." - Grégoire Pont
