Recorded in the depths of Tasmania’s Tarkine Rainforest (takayna - indigenous name) this series is an exploration of a deep sense of underlying oneness that is often felt when we encounter isolated places of natural sublime beauty.
The Tarkine Wilderness is noted for its beauty and natural values, containing the largest area of Gondwanan cool-temperate rainforest in Australia and the second largest in the world. The area's high concentration of Aboriginal sites has led to it being described by the Australian Heritage Council as "one of the world's great archaeological regions”.
As one of the most beautiful and vital wilderness places on the planet, each work explores aspects of takayna’s spiritual, environmental and fragile existence, seeking to raise awareness of the need for takayna to qualify as a world heritage site before it is logged and decimated by commercial interests.
