Body Configuration is a moving image piece by Younjun Chang released as a part of a collection, Body Movements. Three human figures are presented moving, dancing and transforming. In repetitively digitised body movements from the original footage, distorted images question the meaning of scenography. It is a digital performance that encompasses the role of entertainment in dance and choreographic narratives. The coordinated visual presentation unbound the relationship between the movement, digital space and spatiality.
Body Movements, a collection of three moving images, presents human bodies and movements captured and reimagined in digital spaces. Geometric and fragmented components in Chang’s work showcase the liminal being between the physical world and the virtual world.
