Hovering On The Edge is an uneasy amalgamation of virtual painterly potentials, not inhibited by the rules or maxims of the physical world.
"This artwork is not about digital purism or any sort of perfection but rather about the imperfect world we live in. It's about experimentation, and if sometimes there were glitches in the computation of the liquid simulations, they have become a part of the artwork, a random fluctuation now captured and preserved within the finished piece.
There's an element of chance, an experiment with seeking what we can't see but only sense. It's about the intersection between art and life, of expressive painterly gestures against the hard edges of platonic forms. The hard reality we all come up against." Thomas Lisle
