Watercolor, pencil, pastel and antique silk on paper, 56 x 76 cm, 2018—Paris painting nº13.
When the artist moved to France in 2018, she experienced the rule of law, for the first time, as a tangible presence. The winged face, with insular gaze, is from a stone figure on the grounds of Versailles and is a recurring image in her work. This painting is the first of the series where the image was multiplied to form a group. Language, whether it is the title, or included in the composition is a key element of her work.
