Bifurcated forms are a recurring theme. In this instance, the body has forked in a manner inconsistent with typical growth patterns. Lozada finds such forms congruent with emotional states, which divide, split and branch. She associates the internal world with the sensation of floating. Exaggerated vanishing points document the sense of vertigo or of walking on rolling ground evocative of the sensation of emotional growth.
Much of her work, including this piece, is multidirectional- the intent and perceived feeling of the piece is altered by its direction.
