Rewild II is the second of three artworks in the Rewild collection.
Rewild is a collection of still images and short videos that blend double exposure aesthetics with audio field recordings captured in both urban and natural environments. This series explores the idea of what would happen if humans disappeared from certain urban spaces, allowing nature to reclaim these areas.
The collection is directly inspired by Cal Flyn's book Islands of Abandonment: Life in the Post-Human Landscape, which examines places like Chernobyl that have been deserted by humans, where nature has since thrived. This concept resonates deeply with Peter's belief that if we simply step aside, nature will grow and flourish on its own.
