Modulated Horizon is a collection of twenty-four unique artworks by Overlap.
There's a soft sequential symmetry in these landscapes. Every sixteen bars a recurring audio motif triggers a new horizon, as if a Gerhard Richter's squeegee had smeared the image into a new vista. The music is a hypnotic collage of concurrent motifs; creating a state of happy directionlessness, and enhancing an endless flight over oily mountainscapes. Clouds appear and disappear, but the 'squeegee' image manipulator in these 64 bar 'paintings', is a final layer of audio-responsive color and scale parameters.
