The "Holy Virgin Queen" belongs to the "Cultural Appropriation" collection. Inspired by my childhood memory of Virgin Marie's icons. Since medieval times up until the eighteen century, little statues were created to portray the Virgin Mary like a queen.

Those small statues were and are still exhibited today in various Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches throughout Europe. I intend to explore aesthetic and cultural perceptions about what we define tolerable and then divine.
