2023. Photograph taken with my Galaxy A32 Smartphone. Capturing an image from a random YouTube video on my old Mac OSX El Capitan. Man in a library. Should I ask the author of the video for permission to take these photos? I assume not since my reflection and those in my studio overlap, so these images become part of the landscape, and landscapes are copyright-free. Background: my daughter takes beautiful photographs of shop windows in which you can also see her own reflection; my ex-husband creates great collages from X-rays and old photos. The black and bluish and brown tone of those collages is the same that appears in my photographs.
