This is the third image in the series, which contains twelve black and white digital photographs, taken in the heart of the flat Yucatan jungle near the village of Seyes. The shadow of the extraordinarily abundant foliage plays its part here in complementing the structural forms and completing the tonal music of the photograph. Much of the facades were finished in stucco with a resin base from the endemic Chukum tree in a natural colour.The concrete walls were cast on site using the red earth Cancab from the south of the Yucatan in Mexico.The play on texture is exemplified in this photograph.
