Heidegger describes the animal's world as the "Arounding world/ Um-welt".
Insects are the only other creatures on Earth that can see themselves from their own perspective, as opposed to viewing themselves in a mirror or having someone else describe what they look like. This is because insects have compound eyes with many facets, each of which has its own lens and retina.
