Ephemeral Void - Elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space)
The series "Ephemeral Void, Elements" is a captivating exploration of the aesthetic expression of the five classical elements - Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space.
Inspired by the profound insights of Taoist philosophy, the artworks in this series seek to illuminate the fundamental distinction between organic growth and mechanical assembly. According to Taoist philosophy, natural forms are not constructed but rather grown, shaping themselves from within outwards. In contrast, man-made objects like houses, furniture, and machines are assembled from the outside inwards.
"Ephemeral Void, Elements" embraces the organic essence of growth and seeks to manifest it through generative algorithm art. Each element - Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space - is represented in a mesmerizing abstract spinning animated particle video.
Through a fusion of digital manipulation, video, sound, machine, and code, these artworks synthesize the unique synergy of each element, showcasing their intricate beauty and profound connection to the natural world.
