A strong edit has been done on "Princess in Blue" an original drawing on paper. The original artwork is a portrait of Princess Leia. At first I wanted the background to be black but had to do something special with it. The background is made up of sketches of the first thing that pops into my mind. No hesitatation and very fast sketching. The purpose of these is to fill the background with a large amount of small sketches so that it get's black.

All these details in the background create a perfect scenario to edit in photoshop as there is more info to work with using effects and layers. The final piece is a frame animation created by a series of processed versions of the original drawing. Creating a fluid animation that can be looped.
