Waiting for Supper is a moving image work which is part of the Waiting collection of ten works, each of which is created to seamlessly and continuously loop.
The collection was largely inspired by the works of the Danish Modernism and Expressionism movement, in particular the work of Carl Holsøe and Vilhelm Hammershøi.
The idea of a Parisian garret, however dismal, is very attractive. The addition of a vase of flowers and a second-hand ornate mirror brings warmth to an otherwise squalid room. We see the room from two points of view, the real and the reflected.
