Brian Middleton's paintings refer to his memory of driving through the landscapes of Western Canada, especially the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia and Alberta. He often begins with his photographs of unrelated subjects and objects in order to depict his journeys towards the Pacific Ocean. He works and lives on Vancouver Island.
