RRrMLTNG// is a video piece by Azamat Akhmadbaev which is part of his collection MCR_XPRMNT+SND
Conceptually RRrMLTNG// is the first video art work in the series of glitch art experiments with macro shooting and electronic music by the artist.
This video is an attempt to invert the high resolution found in current TVs/monitors into the pixel aesthetics of the 1980s and 1990s, and represents a low resolution as a kaleidoscope of colors.
The work integrates melting color, the rude distortion of fragments, and broken sound - all of these combine to create a new kind of kitsch in a digital sense where pixels are becoming the symbols of 'low-reality'.
Digital reality isn't defined by traditional approaches: the digital realm offers new opportunities for us to understand our existence and explore our legacy as part of the next stage in postmodernism.
