For the last 7 years I have created a community project I do at my studio during First Friday Arts walks called the Portrait Parade. I take advantage of my studio's location in the Santa-Fe arts district by setting up a unique scene and asking people in the crowd to pose for me. I enjoy letting my subjects inhabit the scene and watch them create their own characters with the props and set I provide. I give little direction but make every attempt to make my subjects comfortable and open to creating fun and unique portraits. I upload the photos to social media and allow my subjects to use them for free. This is part of my series Family Day at Able Meats and Processing.
